Unlimited Resources
I remember when I was a little girl, I didn't understand the whole "money" thing. If I wanted something, I'd ask my dad to just "write a check" if he didn't have the money for it! I remember he often said "Do you think I have a money tree out back? Money is a limited resource in this house!"
Now that I'm a parent, I find myself having the same conversation with my children. Funny how that works. But you know something? This morning as I read Ephesians, I came across something that, again, made me realize how God, our Heavenly Father, is not limited by resources when it comes to providing spiritually for us, His children...
Ephesians 3:14-19 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength from his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong.
And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Oh, how I love this! You know what really caught my eye initially was where it said "I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you will inner strength from his Spirit." I don't know if I always realize that His resources are unlimited! I often put limits on God. I put Him in an little box and assume what He will do only so much, based on others experiences, past experiences of mine and what my mind can comprehend. I figured blessings don't grow on trees and we all have a limited amount.
But today, I pray that not only I, but you will also have inner strength from His Spirit that has unlimited resources to provide much more than we could ever ask or imagine! I pray that we will all expect the unexpected from God, ask for understanding and seek His truth by HIS power inside of us. God's Spirit inside of us is the same Holy Spirit that was in every person you read about in the Bible who did great things for Him! The same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus Christ now lives in us as believers.
This, to me, is a wonderful Truth to marinate on today!
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20

Leslie! Thanks for another great blog entry! Your service to the Lord is such a blessing to many.
AGAIN!!!! GOD USED YOU TO VALIDATE and REMIND ME HIS MESSAGE TO ME for TODAY! I love how he knocks me aside the head in such ways (bringing a particular Scripture up several times in a row through a variety of ways)...Shame on me for limiting God in my mind like you pointed out; and Thank GOD for His faithfulness and patience with us all.
This morning I too read Scripture in Ephesians. I also just began reading a new book (this morning)I purchased yesterday called "Turn Your Dreams into Realities..." (by Sue Augustine). I'm such a "dreamer" and thought this book would be a great read to kick off the New Year. ANYWAY, the very first Scripture Verse (which were the very first words I read at the top of the page)was:
God can do anything, you know- far more than you could ever imagine or gues or request in your wildest dreams!(Ephesians 3:20 MSG)
Don't we have such an awesome God!?! Glad He cares enough to re-affirm over and over that "Nothing is impossible for Him" and He loves us all soooo much. (John 3:16)
Happy Birthday to our BFF, Jesus!!! May you and your family be filled with the joy of Jesus. Have a great week and Christmas Season.
Love in Him, Teri

Teri, thanks so much for your encouragement! God does like to use us to encourage one another and confirm His purposes and ways in our lives, doesn't He? :) I pray you will be filled with His joy this Christmas Season, too!
Much love,
Leslie
